Skype for iPhone was finally released today.
The application on my iPhone 3G (OS 2.2.1) did seem very stable. It features all the things you get from the PC/Mac version including chat, calls, status, editing profile and even buying extra features Skype credit, online numbers and voicemail.

Firefox Security Issue

Mozilla Firefox have released information regarding two security flaws in its software 3.0.8 for Windows, Mac and Linux.
Two bug fixes were released, one to patch an arbitrary code execution hole through an XUL element, and the other corrects an XSL stylesheet exploit.

Today the social media giant Facebook should pass the 200 million user mark based on estimates. Speaking at the Facebook Tech Talk confrence it was reported by Wei Zhu that Facebook actually has about 280 million users however he was quickly corrected back down to the 200 million figure by another Facebook employee.

Internet Explorer 8 is available as a free download to all Windows XP & Vista users via microsoft.com/ie8. Windows 7 Beta testers will not be able to download this as far as I know.

Yesterday saw the release from Apple regarding the new OS 3.0 for the iPhone, iPhone 3G & iPod Touch. It has been sometime since I have actually been excited to hear what Apple have in store for the iPhone as they haven’t exactly brought or listened to the consumer during the releases of 2.1 & 2.2. Obviously this also had the mouths watering of the App developers that make a living from creating official apps through Apple’s App Store.
